The Customer Service & Sales Representative receives inbound calls from apartment seekers and seeks to engage the caller in conversation while quickly building rapport and excitement through a high level of customer service. The Customer Service & Sales Rep conducts a customer needs assessment with the caller through active listening and questioning. Through their conversation with each prospect, the incumbent answers questions regarding pricing, availability, location, amenities and the benefits of the properties and helps the prospect identify a community that meets their needs; thereby, helping Equity Residential achieve maximum traffic and leases.

Selling or influencing others ? Delivers uncompromising customer service that builds and maintains customer excitement, loyalty and promotes brand recognition and awareness. ? Provides information to the prospective resident about communities that suit their needs and invites the client to tour properties or books the rental directly while on the phone. ? Responsible for answering call volume, securing leases at acceptable performance levels for sales, quality and productivity. Partnering with on-site property management staff ? Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with on-site property management staff, and maintains them over time. ? Works with on-site staff to provide customer-focused tours that speak to the prospects individual/personal needs. ? Attends and assists in the coordination and organization of community relations and activities, such as newsletters, parties, trade shows, promotional events, etc. Documenting/recording information ? Completes follow up thank-you notes, information mailings, and/or call-backs with prospects in a timely manner of initial call coming in. ? Completes guest card with contact information including name, address, email address, special needs or wants and reactions of prospects contacted.
